BEVERLY HILLS / HOLLYWOOD, CA — Punjabi cinema reached a powerful new milestone as the feature film Chaali Din celebrated its Hollywood premiere on June 6, 2026, following its recognition as “Best of the Fest” at the Crossover International Festival of Film and Art (CIFFA) 2026.

The premiere brought together filmmakers, artists, press, industry guests, and supporters for a memorable evening that celebrated Punjabi storytelling on an international stage. With press coverage, red carpet photo shoots, media conversations, and a intimate Q&A with Writer, producer, Director and actors, the event marked an important cultural moment for regional cinema stepping into the heart of Hollywood.
Directed by Taranvir Singh Jagpal and written and produced by Dr. Gurpreet Singh Dhugga, Chaali Din is adapted from the best-selling Punjabi novel of the same name. The film features a powerful ensemble cast led by Gurpreet Ghuggi, Debi Makhsoospuri, Nirmal Rishi, Harby Sangha, Drishty Talwar, and Sukhan Waraich.
