For filmmakers and content creators, the dream doesn’t end with making a film—it extends to reaching an audience, gaining recognition, and securing meaningful distribution. The Crossover International Festival of Film and Art (CIFFA) is not just another festival; it’s a launchpad for filmmakers looking to take their work beyond the screen and into global distribution channels. https://owaf.org/submissions
A Film Festival with a Purpose
Set to take place on October 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2025, at The Grand Theatre Centre of the Arts in Tracy, California, USA, CIFFA is more than a celebration of storytelling—it’s an opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their work with the added promise of a distribution offer for all accepted submissions. https://owaf.org/submissions
Unlike many film festivals that simply offer laurels and applause, CIFFA ensures that every officially selected film is given a distribution opportunity through our strategic partners and associates. Whether through theatrical releases or digital platforms, depending on the content’s suitability, our network provides filmmakers with a real chance to have their work seen by audiences worldwide.
A Festival Designed for Industry Success
CIFFA recognizes that filmmakers invest time, passion, and resources into their projects. That’s why we have crafted a submission and selection process that prioritizes industry relevance and future opportunities. Here’s why CIFFA stands out:
Guaranteed Distribution Offer – Every selected film receives a distribution opportunity through our extensive network of industry partners.
Diverse Categories – We welcome Full-Length & Short Narrative Films, Documentaries, Animated Features, AI-Generated Content, Scripted & Reality-Based Web Series, and Cultural Events.
No Premiere Requirement – Your film does not need to be a world premiere, giving you flexibility in your festival strategy.
A Platform for Innovation – With categories open to AI-generated content and digital storytelling formats, CIFFA embraces the future of filmmaking.
Submission Guidelines & Key Requirements
To ensure a seamless submission process, filmmakers must adhere to the CIFFA Submission Guidelines & Rules:
Films must be completed within 12 months of the submission date.
No commercially released films prior to the festival screening.
Submissions must be made exclusively through FilmFreeway (no physical copies accepted).
Films in languages other than English must include English subtitles.
All necessary rights and clearances must be obtained by the filmmaker.
Selected films must provide a promotional excerpt (30-60 seconds) for marketing purposes.
Why CIFFA?
Many festivals showcase films, but few actively help filmmakers transition from the festival circuit to distribution and monetization. With the entertainment industry evolving rapidly, digital platforms, streaming services, and independent theatrical releases provide an unprecedented opportunity for emerging and established filmmakers alike.
At CIFFA, we believe that a great story deserves to be seen. Whether your film is an emotionally gripping drama, an insightful documentary, or an innovative AI-generated project, our goal is to help your work reach the widest audience possible.
